Our Story

MC Design & Construction was founded with one simple mission: to put homeowners in the driver’s seat of creating their dream spaces. Our Owner and Operator, Michael Robinson, has always had a passion for both business and construction. With a background in economics from The Ohio State University and over 15 years of experience in construction sales, Michael has built and led multiple successful construction companies across the country.

His journey began in 2007 in the storm restoration business, where he quickly saw an opportunity to make a lasting impact. Teaming up with his two best friends, Michael co-founded a thriving roofing and restoration company that operated in Colorado and Ohio. Seven years later, the business expanded into South Florida, proving that his expertise and leadership could bring success to multiple regions.

But despite his achievements, something was missing—family. After years of running out-of-state operations, Michael made the heartfelt decision to return home to Boston. He took on a sales management role, then co-founded another construction company with a local business partner. However, deep down, he knew he had a unique vision of his own—one centered on customer-driven design and quality craftsmanship.

That vision became MC Design & Construction.
